Koh (which mean island in Thai) Samui is not alone in the south eastern Gulf of Thailand. As part of the Ang Thong group, Samui is the largest and most populous of over eighty islands, mostly contained within the Marine National Park and the only one with an airport. Ferries ply between the islands and mainland Suratthani, offering visitors to the southern Gulf, leisurely, low-cost transfers between island destinations and experience beachlife on some of the best anywhere.
